MDT 6BR Metal AICS Magazine (12 Round)

MDT 6BR Metal AICS Magazine (12 Round) is a 12-round AICS-pattern magazine for 6mm BR Norma, 6mm BRA, 6mm BRX, 6mm Dasher and 22 BR. MDT makes it from high-strength steel, nitrides it and then finishes it inside and out with Cerakote Elite, giving it excellent corrosion resistance and a slick internal surface so the follower runs smoothly.

MDT’s Double Stack Single Feed (DSSF) design staggers the rounds side by side and brings them into a single column at the feed lips, so the magazine is about ¾” (19 mm) shorter than a standard AICS magazine of the same capacity, which makes magazine changes easier when you are shooting prone. Two internal ribs cut friction between the cartridges and the magazine body and smooth the change from double stack to single feed.

A binder plate and spacer set the magazine up for the short BR case, with a maximum cartridge overall length of 2.505″.

Magazine well: Short-action AICS pattern. Fits AICS-pattern short-action chassis and bottom metals, including all MDT short-action chassis and stocks.

Max cartridge overall length (COAL): 2.505″ (with binder plate and spacer)

MDT bottom metal: MDT CORE, Hunting and Precision Bottom Metal (short-action versions). Not the CORE Bottom Metal for Howa 1500 / Weatherby Vanguard, which takes polymer magazines only.

Please note:

• Does not work out of the box with three-lug actions; MDT has found these can be made to work by tuning the feed lips.
