MDT 300 Win Mag Metal Long Action Magazine (5 Round)

MDT 300 Win Mag Metal Long Action Magazine (5 Round) is a 5-round steel magazine for 300 Winchester Magnum and 7 PRC long-action rifles, finished in Cerakote Elite for durability and corrosion resistance. The 5-round capacity is based on magnum cartridges.

Long-action magazine wells come in different lengths, so MDT makes this magazine in 3.560″, 3.715″ and 3.850″ CIP versions: the 3.560″ magazine takes cartridges up to 3.480″ overall, the 3.715″ magazine takes cartridges up to 3.600″ overall and the 3.850″ CIP magazine takes cartridges up to 3.740″ overall. The 3.715″ length is the standard long action in MDT chassis, while Tikka T3/T3x and Savage Axis long actions in an MDT chassis need the 3.560″ version. The 3.850″ CIP version is for CIP-length chassis and bottom metals that allow longer magnum loads.

Check which magazine length your chassis or bottom metal takes before ordering. If you bought a complete rifle from a factory or retailer, check its specification: Remington Tactical Chassis rifles and 338 Lapua XCR rifles use a 3.775″ magazine, which MDT does not make.

COMPATIBILITY

Cartridges: 300 Winchester Magnum and 7 PRC

Magazine well: Long action. Choose the magazine length that matches your chassis or bottom metal (see below).

Magazine lengths: 3.560″ (COAL 3.480″); 3.715″ (COAL 3.600″); 3.850″ CIP (COAL 3.740″)

MDT bottom metal: 3.560″: MDT CORE and Hunting Bottom Metal for Tikka T3/T3x LA
3.715″: no MDT bottom metal; this is the standard long-action length for MDT long-action chassis
3.850″ CIP: MDT CORE and Hunting Bottom Metal for Remington 700 LA CIP 3.850″

Please note:

• 7mm PRC: open the feed lips slightly, and choose the magazine length that matches your chassis or bottom metal.
• Remington Tactical Chassis rifles and 338 Lapua XCR rifles use a 3.775″ magazine, which MDT does not make.
• Will not work with 300 Remington Ultra Magnum, 300 Weatherby Magnum and similar cartridges.
